Dark and Light Leo...my NYU Grad Thesis Film!!

Hello! It's been ages! Mainly because I've been so hard at work with my screenwriting. So, I've risen from the depths of the world of writing and am in the process of shooting my thesis film for NYU. It's a turn of the century short horror film...done entirely with puppets!

We will be shooting in an amazing puppet theatre in the suburbs of Chicago, Opera in Focus. They have over 80 different puppets, 100 different sets, and dozens upon dozens of costumes. This film is going to be an exploration in the dark areas of imagination.

We are currently trying to raise funds for the film on Kickstarter, and we'd love for you to take a look. If we don't raise our goal by our due date (November 9th, 2013), we get NOTHING. So if you can help us out, that would be amazing. And help doesn't have to be in the form of a donation. Just spreading the word about our project is a huge help. Thank you for listening, I can't wait to show you what we come up with!

So Close!

Alright, while "My Husband's Corpse" didn't make it to the top 10 finalists of the wildly popular New Hampshire Film Festival screenwriting competition, it was a quarter finalist and made it to the top 25!

Hey, That's Not Bad!

Hi everyone! I'm still plugging and chugging away at writing several different projects, and of course I haven't forgotten my first and most loved script, "My Husband's Corpse," and it seems to be catching a few people's eyes! MHC was a quarter finalist in the Creative World Awards (named one of the most significant screenwriting contests in the industry) and also placed in the top 10% of all applications (over 7,100) from the Academy Award's Nicholl Screenwriter's Fellowship. Perhaps not enough to win some cash or a flashy trophy, but it's still a pretty nice boost!

Hey everyone! I realize it's been a while since I've posted news, but that's mainly because I've been so busy. Working on a new script idea (horror...ooh...) and getting My Husband's Corpse out there in the world. And that's what I'm here to talk about today: MHC was an official selection for the 10th Female Eye Film Festival, and showcased in their Good to Go program!
