Hey everyone! I realize it's been a while since I've posted news, but that's mainly because I've been so busy. Working on a new script idea (horror...ooh...) and getting My Husband's Corpse out there in the world. And that's what I'm here to talk about today: MHC was an official selection for the 10th Female Eye Film Festival, and showcased in their Good to Go program! "My Husband's Corpse" is on NYU's Purple List!!
Hi everyone! I apologize for a crazy long hiatus in news updates. I've been hidden underground working on my feature script, "My Husband's Corpse", and it seems like the many painful hours of writing has been paying off! On March 21st NYU Grad Film's Purple List was released and I made the cut! Along with five other extremely talented filmmakers. If you'd like to learn more about the Purple List, please click on the links below.

Blast from the past....
For some reason, at 2 am in the morning, I thought I'd google myself. I was pleased to see that the first thing to pop up is my website, and then scrolling down my Imdb page, my LinkedIn page, Facebook (of course)....but a few links down, I was brought back three years ago to being a Senior at Illinois Wesleyan University. The Communications Office had done a profile piece on me, and low and behold, it's still there. Reading it again feels so strange. Did I really talk like that? Did I really make films with just one shitty digital camera and no lights, no sound equipment, not a bounce board in sight?
If you're interested in seeing what I was like as a greenhorn, be my guest.

A new (and final) year at Tisch
I apologize for not writing any updates for such a long time. This past summer I worked with a great production/post-production company in Chicago, Utopic. I learned a great deal about the advertising industry, and met some fantastic people. On a side note, I took off for a couple weeks and wandered through Argentina as well (I highly suggest anyone who enjoys a really good steak or looking at attractive men should go).
A week ago I moved back to New York and have started my third (and final) year of classes in the NYU graduate film program. I'm jumping straight into writing the script for my next piece, which will be my thesis project, a short set in India. I am extremely excited to see how the story develops, and anxious to begin pre-production.
It's amazing to think two years of grad school have already whizzed by. Really psyched to see how this year goes.
*Incidentally, because of how the third year of the NYU program is structured, I will have time to work on other projects, whether within Tisch or outside of it. So if you are in need of a filmmaker, let me know!

So close!
Here is a quick update on what has been going on with the latest films I've been working on:
-"Hello, Phillip" is moving into the final stages of a cut! I have begun to work with my sound editor and composer to get it ready for the NYU screening in the first week of May.
-"After All" , the film I produced (directed by Margaret Shin) is also coming close to a final cut and we are working to arrange sound work to be done shortly.
-I don't believe I posted the link to my IMDB page, so here it is: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm3575195/
-Last but certainly not least, I will be in the Chicago area for all of this coming summer (Early May to late August). If you know of any opportunities in film or media in the city, please let me know! I am happy to send out my resume to any and all!
